Members shall reside in the geographical jurisdictions of Agoura High School and the Oak Park School District on the east, the Conejo Valley Unified School District on the west, Royal High School on the north, and Moorpark Unified School District on the northwest. Like all NCL, Inc. Chapters, Conejo Valley aims to foster the mother-daughter relationship by serving its communities together. Our Conejo Valley Chapter began back in September of 1970 with 15 Patronesses and 16 Ticktockers. On March 10, 1972 at a luncheon at the Westlake Village Inn, it was announced that the Chapter’s application for charter was accepted, and we officially became a part of National Charity League, Inc. Today, we currently have over 120 Patronesses and 140 Ticktockers and are proud to be celebrating our 50 year anniversary as a chapter! Join Our Chapter Interested in joining our chapter? A Prospective Member must be sponsored by a current member of our chapter. Membership opportunities are dependent on Chapter openings. If you know someone in our Chapter, talk to her about getting started, membership obligations and our membership drive timeline. If you do not know someone in NCL, you are invited to complete this Membership Inquiry Form. Membership Inquiry Form For any questions regarding Membership, requests for transfers or assistance with connecting as a Sustainer, email us . In order to be considered for membership in NCL, Inc., Conejo Valley Chapter, please begin by clicking the link above and submit an inquiry form between October 1 and no later than December 11th, 2020. Our typical membership timeline is: October 1-December 11: Membership inquiries taken for current 6th graders (class of 2027), as well as for possible limited openings for current 7th graders (class of 2026). The Conejo Valley Chapter also does not accept new members who are entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 in the fall of the Chapter year. October 1: Information packets and invitations to membership workshops are extended to prospective members who have completed the inquiry form. January 15: Prospective Member Applications due. March 1: Prospective members are notified of acceptance or regret. Mothers and their daughters (grades 7-12) participate in a program that embraces: Community Service Each NCL, Inc. Chapter promotes social awareness by considering the local community’s needs and selecting appropriate non-profit organizations to serve. Each Chapter then supports its philanthropic service partners through different volunteer activities. We work with the following philanthropies: Art Trek Cancer Support Community, Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara Casa Pacifica City of Agoura Hills, Reyes Adobe Days City of Westlake Village Conejo Recreation and Park District; Therapeutic Recreation (CRPD) Conejo Valley Historical Society Goebel Adult Community Center Heal the Bay Hospice of the Conejo LIFE Animal Rescue Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank Many Mansions Mary Health of the Sick My Stuff Bags Foundation Operation Gratitude Paw Works Senior Concerns The Kindness Campaign We are so proud of the strong partnership we have with these organizations who are dedicated to serving the Conejo Valley community. The Vice President Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Committee continue to research and contact community philanthropies to determine where the Chapter can be of service. Leadership Development Nurturing confidence through opportunities to learn and grow, while also building problem-solving skills through a supportive environment of healthy relationships. Mothers and daughters of each class attend a cultural experience together with a focus on different areas of art, theatre, dance and music. Each Chapter celebrates the richness of its history through traditions that honor the past. The Mother Daughter Tea is an NCL, Inc. tradition. Today, NCL chapters around the country continue to embrace their long-standing traditions, as well as, create new ones. Award Winning Chapter Our chapter has received national recognition with the Blue Rose Chapter Award for the 2019-2020 year. This award is presented to chapters that have completed all annual requirements, participated in the #GivingTuesday national philanthropy program, and held a Sustainer Event.
